Tree Planting Initiatives

At CPEC, we consider tree planting promotion a vital activity in our sustainable development programs. In line with the United Nations' efforts to address climate change, we emphasize the significance of tree planting. The alarming rate of deforestation, resulting from factors like wildfires and land conversion for agriculture and urbanization, necessitates urgent action to protect our planet's ecosystems and biodiversity.

Our mission at CPEC is to advocate for tree planting and integrate it as a cultural practice. We encourage various tree-planting activities, such as:

• Planting a tree to celebrate the birth of a newborn within family or friend groups.
• Honouring loved ones by planting trees in their memory.
• Planting trees to mark significant life events, such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
• Incorporating tree planting traditions into religious and national holidays.

Sensitizing students, families, and educators about arboriculture is an effective way to foster a tree-planting and conservation culture. Encouraging students and their families to participate actively in tree planting and caring for their green spaces is a practical approach we strive to promote in educational centres.

Furthermore, we recognize the significant impact that students and educational communities can have on forest development. We aim to support and engage in school projects dedicated to forest preservation and growth.

In the pursuit of sustainable forest development, every citizen needs to participate. Many sources suggest that each individual should aim to plant 150 different species of plants to support forest restoration initiatives.
